Jodi Comer is a young British actress with some heavy projects in her CV.
She played the villain spy "Villanelle" in the BBC spy-thriller TV series "Killing Eve," which ran form 2018 to 2022. Villanelle was the pseudonym of s Oksana Astankova, a psychopathic assassin being pursued by MI6 agent Eve Polastri (played by Sandra Oh, an earlier honoree on this blog.) Astankova and Polastri developed a mutual respect and obsession with each other.
Among Ms. Comer's other roles have been Elizabeth of York, the mother of King Henry VIII of England, in the Starz miniseries "The White Princess," and Ivy Moxam, a 26-year old woman who escapes imprisonment in a basement after being held there for half of her life in the British TV series "Thirteen."
