Actress Jessie Buckley

Jessie Buckley is an Irish actress who graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, but she achieved fame in a mst unorthodox way.

She appeared on the British talent contest show "I'd Do Anything" and came in second.  She was nineteen years old at the time.  But it wouldn't be that long after when her acting career began to blossom.

Ms. Buckley made her movie debut in 2017's Beast, a movie in which she played a mentally disturbed teenager, and then she moved on to play an aspiring country singer in the musical film Wild Rose.  She would become better known to Americans though, as Oreatta Mayflower in the series "Fargo" and as the wife of a Ukrainian firefighter who died trying to put out fires at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the miniseries "Chernobyl."

In addition to playing Juliet in a television production of Romeo and Juliet, Ms. Buckley has also put her singing talents to good use, having recorded an album of all-original tunes with English rock guitarist Bernard Butler titled For All Our Days That Tear the Heart.
