TV actress Harriet Dyer

Harriet Dyer is the perfect all-American actress to bring to life the role of Sadie in the hilarious NBC sitcom "American Auto," about a dysfunctional Detroit automaker that goes from one crisis to the next.

The funny thing is, she's Australian.

Harriet Dyer was born in raised in Townsville ,Queensland, on the northeastern coast of Australia, and she got her start in Australian television playing small roles in TV series such as "Packed To The Rafters" and "Kiki and Kitty" as well as prominent roles in shows like the legal drama "Janet King" and the detective-stakeout comedy "No Activity,"  She made her American TV debut in the 2019 NBC supernatural series "The InBetween," in which she played Cassie Bedford, a medium who can communicate with the dead.

In "American Auto," Ms. Dyer's Sadie plays the car company's chief commercial officer, requiring her to figure out the company's marketing strategy.  She can't seem to get the hang of the job, much to the enjoyment of the viewers.
