Sara Adams came to the New York City Ballet from her hometown of Dennis, Massachusetts.
Beginning her studies in the Bay State age of six, Ms. Adams continued her training at the Boston Ballet School then becoming full-time student at School of American Ballet in New York, graduating in 2008. Starting in the corps de ballet in September 2009, Ms. Adams was promoted to soloist in February 2017.
She has danced numerous roles in the ballets of George Balanchine, such as Agon and The Raymonda Variations.
