I last featured Christine Royer, known by her nickname Chris, on this blog in August 2015. And I can't believe I took nearly seven years to revisit her, because she's not only in the very elite women's club known as the Halstonettes - the models who served as Halston's muses - she is probably one of the most extraordinarily beautiful models of the seventies and eighties.
And the picture above was clearly worth the long wait!
As one of the Halstonettes - the others including Karen Bjornson, Alva Chinn, Pat Cleveland, and Anjelica Huston (all of whom have been featured on this blog) - Chris Royer was clearly at the top of the game in the cutthroat world of fashion modeling. She was probably closer to Halston than anyone else, though, for it was she who took on the enormous task of archiving Halston's work.
Ms. Royer didn't work exclusively for Halston, though. She also did her share of fashion editorials, such as with the photo above for the British edition of Vogue.
She's always been a beautiful woman . . .even without makeup, as seen below.
This picture is a reminder that she may be Mademoiselle Christine Royer in the fashion world, but to those who know her, she's just Chris. 😊
