Claudia Cron may be best known as a model, but she has also been an actress, even though fine art is her first love. She played numerous roles on TV shows as well as in movies such as Stir Crazy and Diner. She had a starring role in the punningly titled 1983 film Running Brave, about the triumph of American Indian track star Billy Mills and his success at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Claudia played Pat, Billy Mills' wife, (Mills himself, who had a hand in the making of the movie, was played by Robby Benson.)
Among her TV roles was an appearance in a 1985 episode of NBC's "Cheers." She played a possible romantic interest for Sam Malone, much to the chagrin of Diane Chambers. Her character was named Claudia (really creative, huh?), but she might as well played herself anyway, as no one would ever mistake the extraordinarily beautiful woman in the picture below for anyone else. 💘
That's it for my week-long tribute to Claudia Cron. Chris Royer is next.
