Theater actress Kate MacCluggage

Kate MacCluggage is an actress best known for her work on the stage.

She has been a staple in New York theater, having played Margaret in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing for the Theatre for a New Audience and having also played Olga in Anton Chekhov's The Three Sisters for the Assembly Theater project. She also had a supporting role in Victoria and Frederick for President, a play about the 1872 third-party presidential campaign of Victoria Woodhull and her running mate, Frederick Douglass.

Ms. MacCluggage has also appeared on television, with guest roles on "Chicago Justice" and "Law and Order: SVU," both on NBC, as well as an appearance on the recently concluded CBS series "Madam Secretary," but her most notable TV role is as Patience Wright on the historical docu-drama AMC cable series "Washington's Spies."

Kate MacCluggage may not be the sort of actress who appears on the cover of celebrity magazines, but she's a star in her own right. :-)
