Actress Téa Leoni

Téa Leoni is one of America's most accomplished actresses of the past quarter century.

Although she's known for the occasional movie role, such as a wife and mother who oversees a Mexican housekeeper in 2004's Spanglish and as Jane Harper in the 2005 remake of Fun with Dick and Jane (and there was also her role in 2001's Jurassic Park III), her biggest fame has come from television.  Her first big series was the sitcom "The Naked Truth," in which she played Nora Wilde, an award-winning photojournalist who has to work at a sleazy tabloid to make extra money.  The show was a satire of tabloid journalism.

Her greatest fame, though, came from playing Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord from 2014 to 2019 on the drama series "Madam Secretary."  A show obviously inspired by Hillary Clinton's career, it followed Elizabeth's handling of foreign affairs as America's top diplomat and eventually doing the one thing Hillary Clinton could not do - become President of the United States.

While working on the series, she began dating her co-star Tim Daly, who played Elizabeth's husband Henry.  Apparently, both Ms. Leoni and Tim Daly went to the same private high school in Vermont.

She was also married to "X-Files" actor David Duchovny for seventeen years beginning in 1997.
