Cristin Milioti is an actress known for her stage work (she played Mia in the American premiere production of the British play That Face in New York), roles in small movies (such as Greetings From the Shore and Sleepwalk With Me), and supporting roles in TV shows ("The Sopranos," "Nurse Jackie," "30 Rock"). She was also part of the Broadway cast of the minimalist musical Once, which earned her a Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.
But as of the date of this post, she will be forever known for "the mother" of all roles.
Cristin Milioti begins the final season of "How I Met Your Mother" tonight (September 23, 2013) in the title role, the future Mrs. Ted Mosby. That's right, she plays the woman - a musician, we've all been led to understand - who is destined to marry Ted.
Her star is only beginning to rise. In November 2013, The Wolf of Wall Street, Martin Scorsese's film about the life of Jordan Belfort, a broker who went to prison for manipulating stocks. Belfort is played by Leonardo DiCaprio; Cristin Milioti plays Teresa Petrillo, Belfort's wife.
