I'm dismantling this blog before I even terminate it. I am deleting more women from this blog before the final post April 30 is published and the site is taken down on May 31.
Early on on this blog, in 2012, I devoted a post to U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Democrat of New York, among other female politicians. Posting pictures of any female politician on a blog like this was a mistake, and I soon enough stopped doing that, as no female politician should be celebrated, even secondarily, or even tertiarily, for their looks. And in the case of Kirsten Gillibrand, that goes double.
Her underhanded maneuvers to force Al Franken out of the Senate for indiscretions far less serious than anything Donald Trump has done were bad enough. But last month, she joined her fellow New Yorker Charles Schumer and eight other Senate Democrats in supporting a continuing resolution to allow the government to keep running and give Donald Trump everything he wanted rather than vote against it and allow a government shutdown the Republicans would have been blamed for, which would have been bad for Trump.
When I suddenly remembered that I actually put her on this blog, I decided to take her off, even though my blog is ending soon.
And that's exactly what I did.
Back later.
