Dasha Burns is rising star at NBC News.
After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley in 2014, the San Diego-bred Ms. Burns worked as a media writer and for a consulting agency while writing opinion pieces for CNN. She became a producer at NBC, getting on the air as a reporter in early 2019. A year and change into her job as a reporter, Ms Burns became a story herself; she reported on the struggle to recover from a case of COVID just a month into the pandemic.
Fun fact: Dasha Burns was the first reporter to have a one-on-one interview with now-Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) following his stroke while campaigning for that office.
