Actress Monica Belluci

Monica Belluci may be one of the last great international stars to come from Europe.

The Italian actress started out as a top fashion model in Paris and New York before making the  transition to acting.  She has worked in the United States and France as well as in Italy.

Among her most notable roles in film are as Mary Magdalene in Mel Gibson's controversial 2004 film The Passion of the Christ and as a sorceress in the modern Disney retelling of The Sorcerer's Apprentice from 2010.

Ms. Bellucci also starred in the 2009 French thriller Don't Look Back, playing a woman who notices changes in her surroundings and herself that no one else notices, and she played Lucia Sciarra, an assassin's wife, in the 2015 James Bond movie Spectre.  At 50 years of age, she became the oldest "Bond girl" ever.

I belong to a Monica Belluci fan group page on Facebook, so you can bet I have more than just these four pictures at my disposal.  I will no doubt be revisiting Monica Belluci on this blog eventually.
