Yes, the Alvin Ailey company has white dancers. It's called the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, not the Alvin Ailey Black American Dance Theater.
As for Deidre Rogan, she's originally from Fort Myers, Florida, and she trained there before migrating to the Big Apple and continuing her dance education in the Ailey/Fordham BFA Program in Dance, when she graduated from with honors in 2015.
Ms. Rogan performed with the Ailey organization's Ailey II company from 2014 to 2016 and was a member of the Parsons Dance Company f.rm 2016 to 2022 before returning to Ailey to join the primary company.
Fun fact: While with Ailey II, Ms. Rogan performed as a United States Arts Ambassador for President Obama during the opening ceremony for the Hannover Messe industrial conference in Germany.
