Model Amalia Vairelli

Amalia Vairelli is a beautiful woman with a personal history as incredible as her beauty.

Born in Somalia, she was raised in France by her aunt and uncle, where she learned to respect diversity from her uncle.  When she was 21, she went to a night club where a man who owned a modeling agency gave her his card. She joined his agency almost immediately after a few test shoots, and she soon had her casting at Yves Saint Laurent.

Though she's done editorials for magazines such as the Italian editions of Vogue and L'Officiel, she's best known for her runway work, having modeled at fashion shows for Lanvin, Erreuno, and Oscar de la Renta, as well as Yves Saint Laurent.

She looks at modeling this way: "More than a career, modeling is a life journey, during which you must know how to fly in first-class and take the subway. Sleep at the Ritz and in a tent. Eat caviar or a simple pasta dish. It’s knowing how to assert yourself without infringing on the freedom of others." 😊
