CNN newswoman Nadia Romero

Nadia Romero is a recent addition to CNN's reporting staff, having joined the network in 2019.

The Syracuse University graduate (a B.A. in journalism and Spanish) worked at numerous television stations. She was a weekend reporter for WSYR-TV in Syracuse and an anchorwoman and lead-story reporter at KCPQ-TV in Seattle.  Ms. Romero also did anchor/reporter duties at WSJV-TV in Elkhart, Indiana, KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and KTVX-TV in Salt Lake City, where she became the first black anchor in the Salt Lake City market.

At CNN, Ms. Romero covered the 2020 presidential election campaign and has also reported on stories such as Hurricane Dorian and the murder of George Floyd.  She's also specialized in stories affecting the black and Hispanic populations in America.

After only three years at CNN, Ms. Romero has made quite an impression.
