So what has actress Saoirse Ronan been doing since I last featured her in September 2018?
Well, in addition to playing the title role in Mary Queen of Scots, she also played nineteenth-century British geologist Charlotte Murchison in Ammonite, a 2020 film about British paleontologist Mary Anning. Murchison is believed to have had a romantic relationship with Anning (played by Kate Winslet, an earlier honoree on this blog, in Ammonite).
Her latest film, See How They Run, a mystery-comedy movie set in 1950s Britain, was released this month. Ms. Ronan plays a London policewoman.
At 28 years of age, she's already been declared one of the greatest actors of the twenty-first century by the New York Times.
