CNN newswoman Arlette Saenz

Arlette Saenz is a recent addition to CNN's on-air staff.

She became a White House correspondent for the cable news channel in 2018, arriving from ABC News, where she got her start as an intern with "Nightline," making the transition to a fulltime job with the alphabet network starting s a desk assistant.

Now  based in Washington, D.C., Ms. Saenz covers President Biden.  When she was at ABC News, she was an embedded reporter with the 2012 presidential campaigns of Newt Gingrich,  Rick Perry, and Rick Santorum.

I know you have to pay your dues, but . . . 😃 

At ABC, Ms. Saenz also covered the 2012 Obama-Biden re-election campaign.

Fun fact: Ms. Saenz graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in American Studies.
