Ms. Scott had been a White House and District of Columbia correspondent for the network, reporting on the clown show that was the Trump administration. She spent 2020, the year from hell, covering the impact of COVID on minority communities and protests over police brutality, as well as Trump’s Bible-holding photographic opportunity at St. John’s Church near the White House. She had also covered the 2018 midterms, Hurricane Irma, and the aftermath of Alabama's deadly tornadoes in 2019.
A graduate of the the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California, Ms. Scott began her career at ABC News as a production associate an also serving as a general assignment reporter on Saturdays and Sundays WTNH-TV, ABC's affiliate in New Haven, Connecticut.
