How could any man not fall in love with Chris Royer? She has class, she has charm, and she sure does have the looks, but she also has the sort of thing that you can't learn from a Barbizon class.
And the essence of all that is distilled in the black-and-white Scavullo photo below.
Don't let her beauty fool you though. She's a woman who means business - the business of fashion and beauty. And her steely determination to succeed is reflected in this color close-up below.
From modeling, Ms. Royer moved on to a series of executive positions at Revlon, working there for eleven years beginning in 1986, including the job of Vice President for Product Development for the company's licensing department, and she created the Revlon licensing program that exists today. But she very much remained a Halston insider, serving as Design Director for Revlon's Halston Enterprises and managing the master Halston licensees for Japan and Mexico.
And by the way, when I refer to her in the present tense as a beautiful woman, there's a reason for that. This is a picture of Ms. Royer later in her life, at an early-twenty-first-century party in New York City.
