The Beauty of Sport, Part Six: Inger Miller

Inger Miller is a blast from the past.  A fast blast.

She competed in track at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, where she won a gold medal in a the women's 4x100-mter relay, a team that included Gwen Torrence (an earlier honoree on this blog), Chryste Gaines and Gail Devers.

Some of her other achievements include another relay gold medal in the 1997 World Championships in Athens and two medals from the 1999 World Championships in Seville - a silver in the 100-meter race and the gold in the 200-meter race.

Fun fact 1: Her father is Lennox Miller, an Olympic track star from Jamaica.

Fun fact 2: She was a princess in the 1990 court of the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California, where she grew up.
