Christine Woods has appeared in many TV series, but she had starring roles in only three of them.
The first of those shows was ABC's "FlashForward," a sci-fi series about how everyone on the planet loses consciousness for a couple of minutes and see what their lives will be like six months hence during that period of unconsciousness. Ms. Woods played Janis Hawk, an FBI special agent who reports her findings to those responsible for the global-consciousness blackout. The show's near-future concept ironically turned out to be appropriate, as it was canceled after one season.
Her subsequent starring roles in series didn't turn out much better. In 2011, she starred as Julia in NBC's "Perfect Couples," a sitcom about a "normal" suburban couple (Julia and her husband Dave) and their sexually active but romantically tempestuous neighbors. It last only eleven weeks. Later, she starred in "Hello Ladies," and HBO show about an Englishman looking fro love in Los Angeles; Ms. Woods played Jessica Vanderhoff, an aspiring actress living in the Englishman's guest house. Despite the show's promise, it aired only eight episodes with a movie serving as the series finale.
Ms. Woods' other TV roles have mainly been one-shot characters, but she has made a few movies on the side. Her most notable film is 2017's I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore, a comedy-mystery about burglary, which was produced by Netflix.
Ms. Woods' main medium, though, is television. Let's hope she gets herself a successful show and isn't written off as a "series killer."
