The Beauty of Dance, Part Eight: Claire Davison, American Ballet Theatre, New York, NY

Claire Davison is a member of the corps de ballet at the American Ballet Theatre in Manhattan, perhaps the most prestigious ballet company in the country.

Originally from Boulder, Colorado, Ms. Davison received her training at schools in Boston and Denver, but not in every town in between (though she also trained on the West Coast).  She joined the American Ballet Theatre as an apprentice in November 2012 and was promoted to the corps de ballet seven months later. She has danced the roles of Berthe in Giselle, , the Queen Mother in Swan Lake, Madame in Manon, and - of course - the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker.
