Perdita Weeks will be 35 years old on Christmas Day as of this writing, but she's already acquired a list of acting credits comparable to that of an actress twice her age, having worked steadily since she was eight.
In America, the British-born Ms. Weeks is best known for playing Juliet Higgins in the reboot of hte 1980s CBS crime drama "Magnum P.I." In the reboot, Thomas Magnum, a private detective living in a guest house on a novelist's estate in Hawaii, works with Juliet Higgins, a British spy who watches over the estate.
But Ms. Weeks had been in several movies and TV productions before the "Magnum P.I." reboot debuted on CBS in 2018, having appeared in the 2013 Charles Dickens bio-drama film The Invisible Woman and the 2014 horror movie As Above, So Below, among other films. She's sort of a queen of the miniseries in her native Britain, having played Clara Docket in the 2011 miniseries version of Dickens' Great Expectations and having also played Lady Georgiana Grex in the 2012 miniseries "Titanic," aired one hundred years after that ship went down.
Regardless of how long the latest reboot of "Magnum P.I." runs (and with COVID-19 being a problem, how long any current TV series will run is up in the air), Perdita Weeks is still bound to compile an even longer list of acting credits going forward.
