Daji Aswad is one of the on-camera meteorologists on the weather service's AccuWeather TV channel.
Originally from Houston, Ms. Aswad received a bachelor of science degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She then interned at that city's NBC television affiliate, WOAI-TV, before joining AccuWeather in 2015, first as a weather graphics producer and then later, in 2017, to her current position as an on-air presenter.
Ms Aswad's focus on AccuWeather's TV channel is on forecasts for both the United States and the Caribbean.
She has said that she was inspired to pursue a career in meteorology because pf the power of hurricanes and how they affected her own hometown of Houston. By coincidence, she began her broadcasting career the same year Hurricane Harvey hit Houston.
