Nyakim Gatwech is the newest model around, and from the world's newest country . . . though she was born in the world's oldest country.
Born in Ethiopia to parents from South Sudan, she and her family migrated to the United States, where she attended St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. It was her participation in a campus fashion show that led her to consider becoming a model.

Not only is she arrestingly beautiful, her almost pitch-black skin gives her a look that is unique and unforgettable. It proves that the darkest skin can still be as beautiful a look for a woman as any other complexion. Ms. Gatwech's look has given her the sobriquet "Queen of the Dark."
Having achieved her popularity through her Instagram account, Ms. Gatwech doesn't plan to make modeling a lifelong career. She's been studying at the University of Minnesota for a master's degree in education.
