Television actress Simone Missick

Simone Missick is a rising star on American television, playing roles related to law enforcement and justice.

She had her breakout role in the Netflix superhero drama "Luke Cage," about an ex-convict - the title character who develops superhuman powers and uses them to fight crime.  Ms. Missick played police detective Mercedes "Misty" Knight, a woman who seeks to learn more about Luke Cage and has a superpower of her own - she can solve a crime scene just be looking at it.  The series ran in 2016 and again in 2018.  Ms. Missick reprised the role of Misty Knight in the miniseries "The Defenders" and the Web series "Iron Fist."  These shows were all based on Marvel Comics characters.

In 2019, Ms. Missick made the jump to broadcast network television to play Lola Carmichael, an idealistic prosecutor who accepts a county judgeship in Los Angels County, California, in CBS's "All Rise."  The series is obviously more sober-minded and more grounded n reality than her Marvel shows.
