The Beauty of Song: The Legendary Tina Turner

Tina Turner is one of those rock divas who get better with age.

Once a partner with her ex-husband Ike Turner, Tina Turner was easily one of the hottest properties in both rock and roll and rhythm and blues. It was those hyped-up covers of "Proud Mary" and "Honky Tonk Woman" that did it. :-)

Leaving Ike in 1976 after he beat her one time too many, Tina struggled to get back on her feet and finally made it in 1984 with her Private Dancer LP, which included the hit singles "What's Love Got To Do With It," "Better Be Good To Me," and the Mark Knopfler-penned title song.
