Rebecca Ferguson is well-known to fans of the Mission: Impossible movie franchise.
She has played Ilsa Faust, an MI6 agent, in three of those movies, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation ,Mission: Impossible - Fallout, and the most recent (as of this writing) movie, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One. One can only wonder when Part Two will come out. 😊
Among Ms. Ferguson's other movies are two Dune films as Lady Jessica, as well as Kathleen Weatherley in 2016's Florence Foster Jenkins, about the New York socialite of that name known for her philanthropy (Meryl Streep, an earlier honoree on this blog, was in the title role), the villainous enchantress Morgana in 2019's The Kid Who Would Be King, and as Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind in The Greatest Showman, a biographical movie about P.T. Barnum, with Hugh Jackman as Barnum.
Fun fact: Rebecca Ferguson was born and raised in Sweden, and she uses her British mother's surname. Her mother helped the Swedish pop group ABBA translate their lyrics to their early songs into English.
