Consider this an Easter egg. 😃
Pictured below is a 1981 ad for Foxland winter attire, showing three models at the heights of their careers from the height of the modeling profession itself, that is, the early eighties, a period in modeling so relevant to popular culture that Time magazine devoted a 1981 cover story to it.
The models in question were superstars within the profession itself but were anonymous faces to outsiders - maybe because they didn't marry rock stars or appear in Pirelli calendars. They were bread-and-butter fashion models who appeared on ads for many different products. All of them have been featured here before.
Pictured from left are Joan Gocha (actress Kate French's mother), whom I last featured in January 2014; Kim Acee, whom I last featured in June 2020, and; Debra Halley, whom I last featured in . . . January 2024! Hey, why not feature her again now, it's worth it!
Happy Easter. A new A-Z round begins this week.
