I haven't posted any pictures of Wisconsin's Linda Tonge since June 2019, but recently I've come across a whole trove of pictures from her portfolio. These four pictures of the Badger State beauty are just a tiny sample of what I've found. And no, I am not going to reveal my source.
But these pictures are quite revealing of Ms. Tnge as a model as versatile as Margrit Ramme or Catherine Roberts. It makes sense that they were at their most active at the same time, mainly the late seventies and early eighties.
The photo above shows Linda Tonge's Everywoman persona, from the cover of the 1983 Sportspages catalog.
And above is a 1993 close-up from Good Housekeeping that is neither from an ad nor an editorial. It's from a profile article on Linda Tonge herself, serving as a reminder that models are people, not just images on a page on a TV screen.
Of course, Ms. Tonge could always turn on the glamour, as the picture from the Cosmopolitan editorial above shows.
And finally, she sports a more professional look in the 1981 photo abe from a Lord & Taylor catalog. This is the Linda Tonge you'd meet today in her home state of Wisconsin, where she now lives and works as a real estate agent. 😊
