She was discovered in her home town Hillerød, Denmark, which is just north of Copenhagen. She signed with Elite's agency in the Danish capital and, after graduating from school, she moved to the United States, where her career took off.
Among her clients are brands such as Billabong, Adore Me, and Calzedonia. Ms. Agdal has also been featured in fashion editorials for Elle and Cosmopolitan, among other magazines, and she made the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, thus reaching the ultimate pinnacle of success.
And in fact, she regards her appearance on the cover of the 2014 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue (on which she appeared with Chrissy Teigen, an honoree on this blog, and Lily Aldridge). as the "highlight" of her career.
And despite her glamorous profession, she is quick to warn her fans not to accept her images on Instagram as indicative of reality.
Smart young woman . . . but then she does come from the country that gave us Kirkegaard. :-)
