Don't let her romantic name fool you. Elena Della Donne is one tough cookie on the basketball court.
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Ms. Della Donne played for the University of Delaware's women's basketball and proved to be an ace in scoring. She distinguished herself as a top scorer in the Women's National Basketball Association, first on the Chicago Sky team, and now, as of May 2017, with the Washington Mystics. The photo below shows Ms. Della Donne in action from her Windy City days.
Ms. Della Donne was a member of the gold-medal-winning 2016 U.S. Olympic women's basketball team.
