Susie Bick has had an interesting life, and not just as a model.
The Cheshire-born Ms. Bick lived in Africa as a child, as her father was a diplomat in the British government. Discovered by photographer Steven Meisel, she went on to work with esteemed fashion photographers such as David Bailey, Dominique Issermann, Helmut Newton and Sarah Moon.
She married British alt-rocker Nick Cave and retired from modeling, eventually launching her own clothing line. Called, "The Vampire's Wife," Ms. Bick's clothing line is named for a never-finished book project her husband had worked on, and it has little if any Gothic influence despite its name.
She's also dabbled a bit in the movies, playing - what else? - models in small films such as Sex & Chocolate (a TV movie) and Flirt, as well as an uncredited appearance as herself in Robert Altman's 1994 fashion comedy Prêt-à-Porter.
