If Jasmine Perry dances as memorably as she smiles - and I have no doubt that she does - then she has a storied career ahead of her indeed.
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Ms. Perry was trained at the School of American Ballet in New York City, where she distinguished herself in her last year. She performed the lead in George Balanchine's Discord and War. in the school's annual student workshop.
She joined the Los Angeles ballet immediately after graduation, where she's been since 2013.
