The Cuban-born-and-raised Ms. Diaz attended the Escuela Nacional de Ballet (National Ballet School) in Havana and danced with Ballet Nacional de Cuba (the Cuban National Ballet) for three years. She joined the Cincinnati Ballet in 2005 and has found the experience to be personally rewarding. "There is always something new to dance and new choreographers," she says. "Dance is the best way I can express myself. It's very rewarding when it gets to people."
