In what can only be described as an ironic beginning to career, Liz Callaway set herself to become a long-term fixture on Broadway by starring in a short-lived musical - Stephen Sondheim's 1981 musical Merrily We Roll Along.
And so, merrily has Miz Liz rolled along since. She's appeared in musicals such as Baby (about three couples expecting children), The Spitfire Grill, Sunday In the Park With George, and Miss Saigon. Among others. She's also released four record albums over the years.
Bet you didn't know Ms. Callaway was a children's show host. The Chicago-born actress starred in the kiddie show "Ready To Go" on WNEV-TV in Boston from 1987 to 1991.
Her sister is singer and composer Ann Hampton Callaway, so we're talking about a talented family here. :-)
