TV newswoman Faith Daniels

Remember Faith Daniels? She was a popular presence on TV at the same time as Arsenio Hall. :-)

Faith Daniels was the news reader for NBC's "Today" show from 1990 to 1992 and also had her own afternoon news program, "A Closer Look," at about the same time. She also anchored the now-defunct "NBC News at Sunrise," and she appeared on "Dateline NBC" from 1993 to 1995.

Although exclusively associated with NBC, she actually began her career on national television when she joined CBS News as the anchor of the CBS Morning News in the spring of 1985. She was one of the youngest news anchors in American television history, having started at the age of 27. She had previously worked in stations in Wheeling, West Virginia and Peoria, Illinois.

Alas, Faith Daniels left broadcast journalism in the mid-nineties, and today she is a strong supporter of the National Council for Adoption.
