Eighties supermodel Louise Vyent

Am I the only person who fondly remembers this eighties model? Louise Vyent, a Dutchwoman of Surinamese heritage, graced many a magazine cover back then, and you couldn't pass a supermarket checkout stand without seeing her picture. Now in her forties, she's not in demand so much, but she does show up every now and then, if only to remind us that the eighties weren't completely terrible.

She was living in my neighbourhood in Holland, very strange to see her in LA on the cover of Glamour in 1987.. She's still very down to earth! Sadly she doesn't live in Holland anymore..

Gaby: Wow, what a coincidence! Since I posted this picture I found out that she lives in my county in New Jersey! She lives in Montclair, NJ, working as a photographer. I live in another town nearby. I'm also a writer, and I'd love to interview her for an article about her new career.

I had to give up the idea of writing an article about her, but I still keep up with her photography career. I saw her at an art show in Montclair, New Jersey in September 2010, though she wasn't one of the exhibitors.
