As a teenager, she modeled on New York and Paris, and going to France was a baptism by fire for her. But she took to the profession quite easily, appearing on magazine covers such as Redbook and doing ads for products like Cover Girl cosmetics. She also appeared in catalogs for Montgomery Ward, JC Penney and Spiegel.
