Actress Lynne Moody

Lynne Moody is an actress best known for her TV work in the 1970s and early 1980s.

One of her earliest television series was as Tracy in the ABC sitcom "That's My Mama!", which debuted in 1973.  Tracy was the daughter of an overbearing mom who frustrated Tracy's brother (played by Clifton Davis), who inherited his father's Washington, D.C. barbershop.  The series didn't last long, however, and Ms. Moody left before it ended its run.

Her best-known role was as Irene Harvey, the enslaved wife of an enslaved blacksmith in the 1977 miniseries ""Roots." Irene's own story took place during the Civil War.

Ms Moody has appeared in numerous other television series, including "Soap," "The White Shadow" and "Lou Grant."
