Elizabeth Debicki is an Australian actress who has found success up and over the equator.
Her breakthrough role in Hollywood was in Gatsby, the 2013 adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel "The Great Gatsby." Ms. Debicki played Jordan Baker, Daisy Buchanan's best friend.
Two of Ms. Debicki's best-known movie roles in America are as Jane Gramercy, the riding instructor of film director Jennifer Fox in Fox's childhood, in Fox's autobiographical movie The Tale, about how she was sexually abused as a girl;Alice in Widows, about four Chicago women who steal money from a politician to pay back a gangster their husbands stole from him before being killed, and; Virginia Woolf in Vita and Virginia, about Woolf's complicated relationship with fellow writer Vita Sackville-West. All of these movies are from 2018.
And even with all of that obviously adult fare, she still managed to voice Mopsy into two animated Peter Rabbit films for the kids.
At this writing, Ms. Debicki is playing Princess Diana in what will be the two finally seasons of the royal drama "The Crown." She's been on British television before, having appeared as Jemima Marshall in the BBC crime drama "The Night Manager."
