Time for some Claudia Cron in black and white. Here's our heroine from another issue of the Italian edition of Vogue, this one from 1979.
It was this this sort of elegant beauty that caught the attention of the Estée Lauder company, who was looking for a spoksemodel for its new Prescriptives brand in the early eighties. Claudia Cron's face became a backdrop at Prescriptives counters in department stores all across America. The brand was discontinued in 2010, but Ms. Cron had long since moved on.
Although I have no new photos of Claudia from the Prescriptives campaign to show here - most of them had grids superimposed on top of them for reasons unknown - I offer here Claudia in an ad from another cosmetics brand - Frances Denney - above.
Below is another picture that is not from the Prescriptives campaign. But it was in fact taken by Victor Skrebneski, the Lauder company's favorite photographer.
She has one thing in common, by the way, with fellow Lauder alumna Shaun Casey - she's from Connecticut.
