Laura Bell Bundy is an American stage actress who has also done work in the movies and television.
She is best known for originating two Broadway musical roles, Amber Von Tussle, a cast member of a local TV dance show run by her mother, in the musical version of the movie Hairspray and Elle Woods in the musical version of the movie Legally Blonde (a role originated on the big screen by Reese Witherspoon, an earlier honoree on this blog).
Laura Bell Bundy's motion picture credits include a role as a lost soul in the 2012 movie Watercolor Postcards and as a club dancer in 2017's Beauty Mark, a tale of survival in a working-class neighborhood of Louisville. She got her start as a teenage girl, playing Susan in the 1993 Disney adaptation of The Adventures of Huck Finn and as Bonnie Hunt's character Sarah Whittle as a child in the 1995 Robin Williams movie Jumanji. She's also played numerous one-shot characters on different TV shows.
