Emily Deschanel was a familiar presence on American television for twelve years.
She played forensic specialist Temperance Brennan on Fox's "Bones," a crime comedy-drama in which Temperance - nicknamed "Bones" for her line of work - collaborated with FBI agent Seeley Booth (played by David Boreanaz) in an effort to solve murder cases. The series lasted from 2005 to 2017.
Ms. Deschanel has also appeared in the movies, having playes small roles in Cold Mountain and in the sports drama Glory Road.
Fun fact 1: Emily Deschanel is the older sister of actress/musician Zooey Deschanel, an earlier honoree on this blog.
