She first gained acclaim as a sheltered young woman coping with the death of her mother in 2008's The Beautiful Person, a modern retelling of the 1678 French novel "La Princesse de Clèves." After a few roles in other movies, including a couple of Hollywood productions - a small role in Quentin Tarnetino's World War II movie Inglorious Basterds, as Isabella of Angoulême, the wife of King John, in Ridley Scott's 2010 movie Robin Hood (opposite Russell Crowe) - she delivered a career-making performance as Emma, an artist who befriends a shy teenage girl, in 2013's Blue Is the Warmest Colour. She also played the title role in 2015's Diary of a Chambermaid - Célestine, a woman who looks back on everyone she's worked for as a servant.
Other films Mlle. Seydoux appeared in during the 2010s were 2015's The Lobster, a black comedy about people who must find mates before they turn into animals, and 2018's Zoe, a sci-fi flick in which she played the title role, about a scientist who develops technology that can pair ideal couple in relationships (co-starring Ewan MacGregor as a fellow scientist).
Mlle. Seydoux also played Dr. Madeline Swann in the James Bond movie Spectre and has reprised that role in the new Bond movie No Time To Die, along with several other projects in the pipeline. At 36 years of age as of this writing, Léa Seydoux still has many good years and good movies ahead of her. 😊
