Actress Stephanie Beatriz

Stephanie Beatriz is an actress with an interesting background.

She is an actress born in Argentina to a Colombian father and a Bolivian mother.  She became an American when she and her parents emigrated to Texas.

Her biggest claim to fame is as Detective Rosa Diaz in "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," a police sitcom set in the fictional 99th Precinct in Brooklyn, New York.  She played that role for eight years beginning in 2013.

Ms. Beatriz has also starred in movies, playing Bonnie, a woman sexually assaulted in New York City, in 2017's The Light Of the Moon, which she was also the executive producer of.  More recently she played Carla in In the Heights, the movie adaption of Lin-Manuel Miranda's first Broadway musical.
