Valentina Zeljaeva comes from as far from civilization as you can get and still be in a major European country. She's a Russian model who grew up in eastern Siberia, which, though it is technically not in Europe, can, I understand, be seen from Sarah Palin's house. 😏
Ms. Zeljaeva and her family later moved to Moscow. She was discovered there in a subway station. She started modeling in Japan, and later moved to New York, where she became one of Ralph Lauren's spokesmodels.
She has done numerous covers and fashion editorials for Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire, Glamour, and other publications.
Currently, Ms. Zeljaeva runs a lifestyle blog (you can link to it here) and writes a wellness column for the Russian edition of Elle.
