Her best known roles include Nabulungi in satirical musical The Book Of Mormon and as Clara in a 2012 revival of the Gershwin opera Porgy and Bess. She's also done musical theater in the heartland, having played Angelica Schuyler in a Chicago production of Hamilton. She seems to have a knack for playing famous eighteenth-century women - she also played Martha Jefferson in a production of 1776.
More recently, Ms. Daniels has been playing Jenny in a 2020 revival of Company, the George Furth / Stephen Sondheim musical about relationships, which first premiered on Broadway in 1970. Didn't hear about the revival? That's because it was in previews when the COVID-19 pandemic closed Broadway until, at this writing, January 3, 2021. Hopefully the show will make it onto the stage by then. A lot of shows slated to open this past spring won't. :-(
Fun fact: Ms. Daniels is married to Jeff Kready, another Broadway performer.
