Elizabeth Marvel is an actress best known for her work in television, mainly dramas - particularly, "The District," a CBS police drama set in Washington, D.C., where she played Detective Nancy Parras, and the Netflix political drama "House of Cards," where she has played Heather Dunbar, the U.S. Solicitor General, who runs for the Presidency.
And as Elizabeth Keane on "Homeland," she is the President, playing the first female Chief Executive on the national-security thriller-drama.
Elizabeth Marvel obviously has a knack for playing political figures. In Hyde Park On Hudson, a film about President Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR was played by Bill Murray), she played Marguerite LeHand, Roosevelt's personal secretary, who eventually fulfilled the role of White House Chief of Staff.
