Whoever said of Olympic medals, "You don't win silver, you lose gold" obviously never won silver. And a silver medal is something for diver Abby Johnston to be proud of.
Ms. Johnston, born and raised in Ohio, competed at the 2012 London Olympics and won the silver medal in the women's synchronized three-meter springboard event with her partner Kelci Bryant.
She didn't bother to go for the gold in Rio de Janeiro 2016, preferring instead to pursue medical school at Duke University. In 2018, she will be Abigail Johnston,. M.D. :-)
